Thank God It's Friday

Eh...this week was okay, I guess.  Nothing really special happened.  In Comm. Tech. Rusty was being all nice to me.  I love him.  He's so cool.  And Kenny kept kicking himself in the head...everyone found it way too funny.  It's like, hehe, he has problems.  This one senior got his nipples pierced for his 18th birthday.  Can you say "Ouch"?  Today in Spanish, "Steve" was all sad.  He told me how you can get rid of your problems.  He says just to put a paper bag over your head, breathe, and when you wake back up, you'll have forgotten all about them.  I feel so bad for him.  He's so sweet, but he needs some help.  In lunch, this one guy I like had on the same shoes as me, so I was feeling all cool for the rest of the day.  I'm so lame.  In science, we had a fire drill, and I also failed a test really badly, I think.  It was super hard.  Then we had English, and then I came home.  The best part of the day.

We have two packages now.  I'm getting all excited for Christmas.  I have to go shopping for everyone tomorrow.   And I only have $80 to spend.  It sucks.  Then, I'm going to the movies and Romeo's with one of my friends, Emily.  Then, on Sunday, we're going down to my grandma's house to decorate their tree.  3.5 more days of school left.  Yayness!

Just another day

Today was pretty average.  I have a major crush on Barry, one of the potheads, now.  But he wouldn't look twice at me if he saw me walking by.  In comm. tech., Rusty, who is a sophomore, kept on flirting with me.  I'm like, yeah keep it coming.  Then, in Spanish "Steve" flirted with me more.  He's so awesome.  As you can tell, nothing interesting happened today.  I'll write more tomorrow or Monday.

I'm back...again

Hey, hey,

Wow, I haven't written in here for a super long time.  I've just been busy with school (HIGH school, now, aren't I impressive?), and we got a new computer recently and I pretty much forgot about this site.  But anyways, we're already more than halfway through the second marking period, and I've enjoyed it so far.

I ride the short bus in the morning, but it isn't with any kids with disabilities.  It's just ones that live in an area where the buses don't usually go to.  I love my homeroom.  My school is, like, obsessed with pot, and everyone in my homeroom talks about it all day.  It's slightly amusing, in an odd way.  These two people I sit in between are sorta potheads.  Their codeword for it is "CDs".  Today, one of them was like "we should listen to some CDs before we go to the dance".  Then, the other one said "I think I have money to buy some more CDs", but he used bong in the same sentence, so I was getting a little suspicious.  My first period class is Keyboarding/Technology.  My teacher is super annoying, but I have a good grade in it, so I can't complain.  The fastest I've ever gotten was 103 words per minute, and the record in the school is 111, so I'm hoping to pass it.  Second period is Comm. Tech.  It's really easy, but I thought it would be different than it is.  The only reason I took it is 'cause I was friends with some guys that were and I needed another elective.  Third period is probably my favorite, Spanish.  I have a 100 in that class.  I'm pretty good but it's getting tougher.  Me gusta hablo en espanol.  I know, that's not very complicated, but it's the only thing I could think of right now.  I also sit in between like four adorable guys in Spanish, so that doesn't detract from the experience.  My favorite is the guy who sits right behind me.  He's totally charming.  But just for the sake of being respectful to him, I'm gonna call him Steve for a while, even though that's not his name.  Steve has had a serious girlfriend for around six months who I don't like very much, but he always flirts with me.  Well, I don't know if you would call it flirting, but he always talks to me, and touches my back and draws on me and stuff.  Steve considers himself a "goth", and he also has a problem with cutting himself.  He's always depressed and if people annoy him, he gets really pissed, but he's so sweet if you're nice to him.  I wish I was his girlfriend.  Fourth period is lunch.  Ugh.  It's my least favorite period of the day.  I don't ever eat anything.  Why bother wasting 2+ dollars a day on something you don't like?  I just switch tables every day, too.  Business Applications is next.  That class is pretty cool.  We're doing accounting in it right now.  Then, we have math.  I suck at math.  It's pitiful.  History is next.  God, this year history is kinda agonizing.  Our teacher just gives us lectures and we have super hard tests.  That and participation are the only things we get graded on, so my grade on the last report card was a C+.  For the past few weeks, we've had a sub 'cause our teacher's getting eye surgery.  The sub was pretty cool until today, when we turned into an asshole.  We had to do a 2-3 page report on a certain incidence of prejudice in the country.  I was in a group with two other girls, and our subject was Leo Frank.  We had two class periods to read the article, take notes, and write the final copy, so naturally, I was the one who stayed up until 11:30 finishing it last night.  Then, today, we had to present them in front of the class.  One of our group members wasn't here, so there was only the two of us.  Our oral report was supposed to be loosely around 3 minutes long.  Our final draft of the report wasn't even three pages, double-spaced, but when we read it, it took what people said was 6 minutes.  I talked to one of my other friends on Yahoo today, and she said we only took like 30 seconds more than we were supposed to.  After me and the other girl were done with our report, he said "It was great except you went three minutes over the time limit and should have looked at the audience more."  I was like, Fuck you in my head.  He really pissed me off.  Every group took more than 3 minutes and hardly anyone maintained fairly good eye contact with the class.  We shouldn't have even had to present today; our third group member skipped school.  He sorta spoiled the ending of my day.  Then, in science, we had a totally tough test on the interior of the earth.  I hate when I know that I've failed more than two things in one day.  Last period is English.  It's pretty enjoyable.  We had a super cute sub today.  He was a student teacher at the middle school last year.  We are writing a story geared for 1st through 3rd grader, so I just helped this one girl color a picture.  Then, we came home.  And my neighbor had to come over and spoil my night.  But I did talk to my best girl, Steph, on the internet for like an hour.  She started getting homeschooled in like the end of October.  I was bawling for days when I found that out.

I'm back.

Well, we got back from our trip to Michigan really late on Thursday.  It was really good.  We stayed at our cabin, which is really rustic, with my grandparents and my uncle, Russ.  We got a plumber to install this new pump that my dad bought so we had hot water (after four days, of course).  But then, I took a shower and I was clean.  [Insert orgasmic noise].  The water smelled sorta iffy, though.  I slept in my own tent for the first night.  These complete idiots a couple of places down the road think it is cool to set off fireworks in the middle of the night, so I didn't sleep very well.  The second night I was in my own tent as well, and this thunderstorm started up.  I am completely afraid of lightning, so when I saw the first flash I was ready to get my ass out of there, and go into my parents' tent, but I didn't wanna risk getting killed in the process of running twenty feet, so I stayed put.  I was crying and trembling and everything, but I eventually fell asleep.  Needless to say, I slept with my parents for the rest of the trip.  I went fishing every day almost, but I didn't catch one single fish, although I did get several bites.  Also, my dad and I went out in this really old rowboat.  We were gonna go in the canoe, but as I cannot swim, we did not think it a very intelligent idea.

On the 24th, we went to our family reunion in Hastings.  It took around five hours to get there, and I only knew four people there.  It was at my dad's cousins' house.  I have no clue what her relation to me would be.  She's really nice, though.  Her name's Pam and her husband is Dan.  They live in this super nice wood house, and they have a couple of horses.  I fed one of them a carrot, but I didn't know that you were supposed to break it into pieces, so it, like, sort of choked.  It was okay though.  Pam's parents are Helen and Bob, who I've both met.  Those were the only four people there that I knew.  Helen is super nice and she paints really good.  Bob has prostate cancer, but it's in intermission right now.  I think that's what it's called.  He's 82, but you would never guess it.  He's in super shape and he looks really good.  Bruce is another of Helen and Bob's kids.  He can't hear very well, but I didn't know it at the time, so I thought he was just ignoring me.  He's married to Monet, who is Filipino.  She is really nice.  She teaches 16 special-ed preschoolers.  I think that's pretty great.  Bill is also Helen's son.  He's married to Von.  Their daughter is Ann Marie, who has a almost five-month-old baby girl named Alexis, and a four-year-old, Jakob.  They're both super cute.  Ann Marie and her husband Jason are both really nice and she's really pretty.  Bill and Von also adopted a Korean kid, who's twenty-something now, Ed.  He's engaged to Jamie, who has a daughter, Madison, from another guy.  Pam and Dan have a daughter named Heather, who is married to Rich.  He has a son, Justin, from a previous marriage.  They have a daughter, LilyAnne, who's one.  She's adorable.  Chris and Robin, who are both women, were there.  They are my grandma's deceased sister's kids.  Robin is married to Jim, who is pretty cool, and Chris is single.  I had a good time there, but I didn't really talk much.  The next day, we went to Helen and Bob's house for brunch.  Only Bruce and Monet, and Chris, Robin, and Jim were there, so I got to know them better.

That's pretty much all that happened up there.  We just spent a lot of time on the water and with our relatives.

When we got back here, the next day we went to the mall.  I had to get some school clothes.  I got a pair of jeans and a gray shirt and a white shirt from Sears.  Then we went to Lane Bryant.  Yes, I know, I'm fat.  I'd never been in there before, but I got a pair of jeans and a nice pair of tan pants there.  Then we went to Target, El Cheapo.  I got three polo shirts.  I'm going for a more preppy look this year.  Later that night, I got my hair cut, like, five inches shorter.  My dad thinks it looks better, and I'm growing on it.  On Saturday, we went to Walmart and I got school supplies (notebooks, folders, etc.).  Yesterday, my dad and I went to Borders and I got three books.  They are Catalyst  by Laurie Halse Anderson, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, and My Favorite Horror Story by various people.

Boring.

Gosh, I haven't written in here for a long time, but there honestly really hasn't been anything going on.  I'm packing to go to Michigan for a week or so.  We leave on Saturday, so I'm looking forward to that.

My brother's court date is on the 27th now.  I'm hoping that everything goes okay.  At least we'll know what happens to him in a few weeks.  I'm hoping that he'll just get probation or a fine or something.  I dunno....

The only other bit of "news", if you can even call it that, is that we bought a treadmill.  I like it.  It's pretty awesome.

Fourth of July

I had a pretty good weekend.  On Saturday I went to Antietam to see the fireworks with my neighbor.  The only downside was that we got there, like, eight hours early.  It was already crowded, though.  Her aunt and uncle and grandma, I think, were there and they were all nice.  Her uncle used to live in my house and he told me all about a lot of the teachers up at the high school.  He was super funny.  Anyways, we didn't get home until 1:00 or so, so I spent the night there.  We didn't go to bed until 5:00 AM, but I was really tired.  On Sunday we were gonna go to the mall to get me a new pair of shoes, but it was closed so we just went to Target, and I got $50 worth of underwear, lol.  But this one bra I got was super cute.  And then on Monday, we went to my grandparents' house for a "fish fry" as they called it.  Ugh.  I hate fish.  I ate fried potatoes and onion rings instead.  More later.

Ow.

My head hurts.  Isn't that very saddening?  It is.  My neighbor is getting on my nerves!  Last night, she stayed until, like, 10:30 and my dad was trying to sleep.  He has to get up at 3:00 and she was screaming and stuff.  If I wasn't such a pushover, I would tell her that I hate her.  Oh my God, and she broke this porcelain doll of mine, and it was a gift from one of my best friends at where I used to live.  She "accidentally" dropped it on the floor, and the legs broke off.  Then she actually had the nerve to ask me if I was mad.  I said "no, it's fine", and then she said "good, because I was laughing about it anyways".  God, I freakin' hate her.

Snooze.

Not much has happened since the last time I wrote.  I went to Borders and saw the local sportscaster.  That was the highlight of the past three days, lol.  And I got three books.  They are The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen, Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson, and Smack by Melvin Burgess.  They all look good, and at least I'll have something to do for a couple of days.

We're gonna watch fireworks here on the Fourth of July, I guess if it doesn't rain, and then on Monday my dad has off work, so we're gonna go down to Greenbelt and watch the fireworks at the lake by my grandparents' house.

Last night, Steph supposedly met Sam at the mall.  I guess everything went okay 'cause I didn't get an angry call at 10:00 asking where the hell she was.  I still haven't talked to her about it, though.

Boring.

I have nothing to do.  I am so bored.  My neighbors came home yesterday because the guy "forgot" to make reservations at Gettysburg, but they're leaving again today.  So, I had to spend pretty much the whole day with Missy.  That totally sucked.  I wanted to freakin' hit her, 'cause she is so annoying.  Me and my dad went on a bike ride and when we were gone, she came over and tried to install a game on our computer, therefore screwing it up in the process.  She just invites herself in, eats all of our food, and then leaves without even saying thank you.  She needs to learn some serious manners.
