Update

Okay, the biggest news from yesterday is that my friend's online boyfriend isn't who he said he was.  He said he was 17 and his name is Mike, but he's really Sam and 20 years old.  I guess that he said that his friends just told him to do that.  So, my friend had lied about ever meeting "Mike/Sam", but he still wants to get together this weekend.  There are so many things that could go wrong with that, I don't even know where to begin.  Last night, Sam was supposed to get online and send her a picture of his "true" self, not of his friend, like before, but he never showed up.  I really don't want her to go now, 'cause he could just be lying about being 20.  And, anyways a 20-year-old with someone who's 14 is rape.  And this guy is supposedly studying to be a lawyer.  It's like "Oh my God, then you should know better than to talk with people almost half your age online".

In other news, I guess my brother's court thing tomorrow is just showing evidence or something like that.  He won't receive his punishment or anything.

Crap.

Eh, life sucks right now.  I guess my dad doesn't want to go to Michigan anymore this summer because of Aaron.  That was the one thing I was looking forward to, too.  He doesn't want him to be "without adult supervision".  I mean, come on, he is an adult himself.  He can take responsibility for his own actions for once.

I got into a fight with basically everyone in my family today.  I'll admit, I was being a total bitch, but I didn't feel good, so at least I had an excuse.

Oh, and I'm watering my neighbors' plants for them while they're on vacation.  But, like, half of them have died.  I'm so freaked out, 'cause that is one of the only things that they care about.  And that doesn't even make any sense, 'cause I have been watering them almost every day.

Father's Day

Today, my grandma, grandpa, and uncle came up for Father's Day.  We went to the Antrim House, and it wasn't at all busy.  I had the buffet, and it was pretty good.  They gave us another one of their old printers, but it's still too modern to work on our computer.  I wish I had, like, $1000 more that I could spend on a computer or something.  Ours is from the late '80s/early '90s, and it sucks majorly.  Nothing is compatible with it, and it can't run any programs, barely.  My dad said we might be able to get a new one soon.  I hope so!

Um....

Today my dad and I got up at 3:40 so we could get to this woodworking show in Muncy by 8:00.  We were there an hour early which sucks, but it was still a good day.  My dad got a dust collector, which is what he wanted.  We got way lost on the way home, though.  It took us five hours to get back, so I slept for a little bit.

My brother's court date is on the 24th.  I hope that he only gets probation or community service.  That's what he said his friend got, I think, so I can at least hope for the best.

Dreamland

I'm bored, so I'm writing in here again.  I just finished reading Dreamland by Sarah Dessen.  I love her books.  She's amazingly talented, but she's only written six books so far.  I've read all of them except for her newest one, The Truth About Forever.  But, anyways, I want everyone to go read at least one of her books.  They're great.

"Dreamland" is about Caitlin O'Koren, who is sixteen years old.  Her sister, Cass, who was gonna go to Yale, ran away with her older boyfriend.  That and many other factors lead to her feeling depressed and withdrawn.  One day, Caitlin meets a slightly older and mysterious man, Rogerson Biscoe.  She is so happy when she's with him.  He makes her forget about all of her troubles and worries - at least for a while.  Rogerson is a perfectionist and he can't stand for anything to be out of place or people to be late or anything like that.  When Caitlin makes the cheerleading squad, and starts giving all of her free time to them instead of Rogerson, he starts lashing out at her.  It becomes a physically and emotionally abusive relationship.  She even tries drugs.

This book is really realistic, and you won't be able to put it down once you start reading it.  It's so sad, but it has little speckles of humor throughout it to ease the tone.

...

Tomorrow I'm going to this big woodworking tools sale over in some city by Philadelphia.  So, we have to get up at 3:50, so we can get there by 7:00.  That is not cool.

I just remembered that I didn't tell you about the movie I saw.  I saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban a couple of days ago.  I really liked this movie and I think that Alfonso Cuaron is a better director than Chris Columbus was.  Cuaron was a lot more artistic (like using the Whomping Willow to show what season it is), and Columbus more or less just tried to get the points across.

Even though it did leave out some stuff from the book, it was just an adaptation.  It was shorter than the first two (and it was a longer book) so they didn't have much time to squeeze everything in.  They just left out a lot of little details.  Like, I don't think they told how James Potter was Prongs, or how Sirius was the one who sent Harry the Firebolt.

And I think that the kid actors all improved their skills.  I like how they were allowed to wear "normal" clothes after school was out and in Hogsmeade.  It made it more realistic to me.  And the scenery was really pretty.  I hope Alfonso comes back for the Order of the Phoenix!

Argh!

Man, I don't know what to do.  My best friend wants me to "cover" for her when she spends the night at a hotel with her (sort-of) boyfriend.  And she's 14 and he's 17.  And she's only met him a few times.  I don't want her to get hurt or anything.

She was going to go to the mall and get picked up by him there.  Then, they would go to some hotel and spend the night there.  Her alibi would be that she's spending the night at my house.  What if her mom calls and wants to know if she's here?  What if she doesn't get back by the time she's supposed to?  What if her boyfriend ends up drunk or something and crashes his car?  There's so many "what if's".  I have no clue what to do.

Another Boring Day

Today was boring.  I didn't do anything, really.  I watched VH1 for, like, five hours straight.  And they were all really crappy TV shows, too.  I seriously need a life.

Ooh...I did do something worthwhile today.  I took tons of online tests, most of them at Internet Junk.  They were so fun.  And guess what?  I am 90% anally retentive.  That will never fail to amuse me.

Blah.

I have done absolutely nothing for the past two weeks or however long we've been out of school.  I hate summer.  I think I'm gonna clean my room today.  How fun.  (Please do note the sarcasm, by the way.)

Um...what do I have to talk about?  Nothing, really, but I'll sit and type useless words anyways.  We got a new bike for me a couple of days ago 'cause my old one was stolen by this really stupid guy, but I don't have any proof, lol.  Last night, I burned, like, four CDs off of my brother's computer.  I now (illegally) own "Bleed American" by Jimmy Eat World, "Hybrid Theory" and "Meteora" by Linkin Park, and "Prolong the Magic" by Cake.  Lol, I am so very cheap.  Oh well.

My neighbor is on a camping trip in Florida until July 2nd.  That is so totally awesome.  I just hope she never ends up reading this, lol
